A few meters from the sea, in one of the most unspoilt areas of the island, the campsite Porto Sosàlinos offers an ambiance and an atmosphere different from any other campsite in Sardinia.
The environment
Our campsite has been designed to respect the environment: we use solar panels to produce hot water, that we provide for free, and we have a system for water recycling. Unfortunately, technical reasons prevent us from installing photovoltaic panels, but by 2023 we will have our own Water House to counter plastic consumption.
A holiday in our campsite also means having a holiday with a clear conscience, trying to preserve the beautiful Sardinian territory for those who will enjoy it after us.
BIOREACTOR
At Portososàlinos we are very concerned about a careful treatment of waste waters which are purified through a modern bioreactor.
With the use of special membranes, waste waters undergo a final microfiltration treatment which turns them in to a rich resource.
Portososàlinos is the first campsite in Sardinia, with its MBR (membrane bio-reactor), where this advanced technology is used. Purified waste water’s chemical composition is vastly superior to the standard required by law.
The structure
In 1970 my father Claudio Stipa, an engineer, started a pioneering project that maximised the best characteristics of a place that immediately enchanted him. In the pine forest, on an area of almost two hectares that runs along a small river, each pitch is set by dry stone walls and surrounded by vegetation typical of the region. Immersed among myrtle, lentisk, beech and fragrant herbs, you can admire the sunset from the outdoor showers or, while having breakfast, you can watch the moorhens sneaking through the reeds. Our family are still taking care of this precious ambience with the attention that is paid to a home, allowing all guests to feel welcome and at ease.
