TREKKING

If you come to our campsite you can be sure that you will always find some thing to do. Trekking is ideal if you enjoy walking and want to discover the secret heart of Sardinia. All you need is a backpack with the essentials for survival, a pair of boots and a taste for adventure.

The best way to enjoy the rugged and unspoilt beauty of Supramonte is to surrender yourself completely to the stunning beauty of the area.

Further south, lovely unspoiled coves such us Cala Luna, Cala Mariolu, Cala Goloritzé, and other beautiful beaches can be reached on foot by paths of varying difficulty: and at the end you can swim and refresh yourself after all the walking.

In the inner part of this temple of nature you can enjoy the thrill of a walk in the Gorropu canyon, the 2nd highest in Europe, or a walk to the peaks of Monte Corrasi.

Together we can choose itineraries tailored to your particular skill and you will be accompanied by expert guides to the beaches of the Gulf of Orosei and to the highest peaks of Supramonte.

CANYONING

Sardinia is not only the island with amazing beaches and transparent water. If you want to spend one or more days of your holidays visiting the wild Supramonte countryside area, which is in the vicinity of Portos Sosalinos, you will find all necessary gear and the right people to get you there at our campsite.

The common assumption that Sardinia is devoid of water is misleading. As a matter of fact, for centuries in Supramonte water has eroded the limestone into peculiar shapes and landscapes. This kind of erosion is typical of the area, which has been made accessible in recent years by creating vertical pathways through the canyons.

The extreme variety of the landscape affords access to itineraries sometimes requiring the use of ropes and wet suits.

Canyoning is an experience not to be missed. Is difficult to explain, words cannot express the feeling of a rope-drop in the upper Gorropu gorge (2nd biggest canyon in Europe) or a 20-metre swim in the darkness of Codùla Orbisi.

There are also simpler rope-drops, which do not require a wet suit, and involve a pleasant walk with a breathtaking view of the sea. In this case Bacu Padente gorge is an ideal track.

Codùla Fuili affords a still easier but no less exciting approach on foot to this activity which offers spectacular sights and at the end, if you like, you can go for a refreshing swim in the ocean.

FREE CLIMBING

If you like to keep fit during your holiday in Sardinia come and visit us, our campsite is the right place for you. 

Free climbing is a beautiful sport, the essence of which is a challenge to the force of gravity.

You need very little equipment for free climbing: using only hands and feet to secure your body to the rock, with the help of shoes, harness, rope and karabiner. The fantastic climate and breathtaking landscape makes Sardinia the perfect location to practise free climbing.

From the Goloritzé Needle to Monte Oddeu, from the cliffs of Plummare Cape to the Punta Cusidore mountains or the Surtana valley, vertiginous canyons and huge mountains awaiting discovery, where you can truly test your own limits or just enjoy training yourself, and take a refreshing swim in the sea when you have finished climbing!

Free climbing is not only a challenge for experts. In our campsite you can have a chance to try even for the first time, on simpler cliffs under the guidance of qualified and expert guides. We have a gymnasium close to the camping if you prefer training indoors. If you want to climb outdoors, the beautiful mountain faces of M.te Tuttavista in Orosei, or Cala Luna and Cala Fuili beaches are ideal if you want to taste of what a sport like free climbing can give you. Come to our campsite and give it a try!

KITESURFING

Close to our camping there is a nice spot for kite surfers and all people who are fans of this wonderful sport.
An endless fine-grained sandy beach, shallow clean light blue colored water and daily winds which provide excellent conditions for kite surfing. This spot is the best one on the East Coast of Sardinia.

There is a kitesurfing school, La Caletta Kite, at 20 minutes by car from our campsite. The school organizes beginner and advanced courses, as well as private lessons.

DIVING

Diving in Sardinia is an incredible experience. The extraordinary clear water enhances the beauty of animals and plants, as well as the varied and fascinating Mediterranean landscape, even at low depth. You can enjoy diving in absolute safety feeling totally relaxed, rent all the necessary gear and rely on the experience of qualified guides.

You can discover the most spectacular diving trips when you come to our campsite, such as Osalla shallow:

It is 14 m below the surface and dips to 24 m. It is covered with posidonia seaweed and full of dens sheltering an amazing variety of fish. There is almost a fish at every boulder. Also the KT wreck:

In the vicinity is one of the most interesting war wrecks in Sardinia, 33 m deep, a reminder of the terrible battle in 1943 when the British submarine Safari sank the German ship with its whole cargo tanks, food supplies, drums of oil and fuel intended for German troops in Africa. This is an easy excursion which attracts divers from all over the island: it is very close to our camping, so you can get there during the day, see everything you want to see, and come back to the campsite for an evening drink.
