A pochi metri dal mare, in una delle aree più incontaminate dell'isola, il Campeggio Porto Sosàlinos vi offre un ambiente e un’atmosfera diversi da ogni altro campeggio in Sardegna.
The environment
Our campsite has been designed to respect the environment: we use solar panels to produce hot water, that we provide for free, and we have a system for water recycling. Unfortunately, technical reasons prevent us from installing photovoltaic panels, but by 2023 we will have our own Water House to counter plastic consumption.
A holiday in our campsite also means having a holiday with a clear conscience, trying to preserve the beautiful Sardinian territory for those who will enjoy it after us.
BIOREACTOR
In Porto Sosàlinos particular care and attention is given to the treatment of waste water which undergoes a purification process inside a modern and effective bioreactor.
Through the use of special membranes, the waste water undergoes a final microfiltration treatment, thus being transformed into a precious resource.
Porto Sosàlinos is the first in Sardinia to adopt this technology with its MBR (membrane bioreactor) system which guarantees the result of a water with much better chemical characteristics than those required by law.
The structure
In 1970 my father Claudio Stipa, an engineer, started a pioneering project that maximised the best characteristics of a place that immediately enchanted him. In the pine forest, on an area of almost two hectares that runs along a small river, each pitch is set by dry stone walls and surrounded by vegetation typical of the region. Immersed among myrtle, lentisk, beech and fragrant herbs, you can admire the sunset from the outdoor showers or, while having breakfast, you can watch the moorhens sneaking through the reeds. Our family are still taking care of this precious ambience with the attention that is paid to a home, allowing all guests to feel at ease.
